At a guess (which is the best you can hope for with the little information provided), use "g++" to compile C++ programs, not "gcc".
If that doesn't help, please post the *exact* command line you use to compile your program, the program itself (if possible and if it's small), and the output of "cygcheck -svr" as an attachment (as per <http://cygwin.com/bugs.html>).
