I got it to work using v7.1.5. Here's what I did.

First, I downgraded to v7.1.1 and the command: multitail file1.log file2.log
file3.log worked

Then I upgraded to v7.1.3, at first failed. Then I tried multitail
-‐no‐load‐global‐config file1.log file2.log file3.log and it worked.

Then upgraded to v7.1.5 and it worked after I removed ~/.multitailrc. I was
using the /etc/multitail.conf from v7.1.1

I have copies of all three versions of /etc/multitail.conf to go through and
see where it's all going wrong.

Thank you for your help.
