$ cygcheck -l git | grep applypatch
/usr/share/git-core/templates/hooks/applypatch-msg.sample
/usr/share/git-core/templates/hooks/pre-applypatch.sample

Right, I thought not. Now all I want is to find out where applypatch comes
from (where's the source) and see if it looks like a useful addition to my
toolbox.
