Too bad you couldn't spend some of the time you saved with these breif email messages to the list looking at the email archives that discusses this issue at length. If you had, you would see why Cygwin doesn't install in the form you want. That would've removed the need for you to contact the list at all, unless of course you wanted to join the effort to improve the current installation procedure. Of course, that might take allot of time. So you could just look at the FAQ entry:
