This sounds quite interesting! Do I assume correctly that these
changes may likely lead to a general improvement also in other
situations if the impact of the pipe is so big for this specific
case? Pipes are most likely used in quite a lot of scenarios?!
I'm not prepared to make any predictions. We won't really know without testing.
