chown/chgrp only work on filesystems supporting Windows SIDs and ACLs. Microsoft NFS doesn't. Cygwin's chown/chgrp ion NFS just fakes success, just like on FAT. Corinna -- Corinna Vinschen Cygwin Maintainer
