Step 1: Type "id" in bash and find what groups you are part of.
        id will only show the Windows groups that are in /etc/group, 
        so that file has to be complete. Verify that all groups listed
        by "mkgroup -l" and "mkgroup -d" appear in /etc/group.
Step 2: Edit /etc/passwd and change your gid to any of your groups.
Step 3: Start a shell from outside of Cygwin. Type "id" to verify.
