No, it is in the build directory: $ x86_64-w64-mingw32-nm default-manifest.o 0000000000000000 d .rsrc The /usr/lib has the correct arch though. I think it should be compiled as default-manifest-new.o like ld-new so it does not accidentally interfere with the build. I'm not too familiar how to change the Makefile logic to do this though, I'll write a bit to the binutils list.
