No, I did not.  She was going after ftruncate() there.

Yet, the problem seems to be in cygwin's <sys/mman.h>, which does this:

#ifndef __INSIDE_CYGWIN__
extern void *mmap (void *__addr, size_t __len, int __prot, int __flags, int 
__fd, off_t __off);
#endif

which means that user code can't use the prototype.  Why is it conditional?
