Hi, > bash-2.05b$ uname -a > CYGWIN_NT-5.1 CORINNA 1.3.15(0.63/3/2) 2002-11-07 13:57 i686 unknown > bash-2.05b$ cd d: > bash-2.05b$ pwd > /cygdrive/d
> Corinna thank you, Corinna, for this hint. It works also with me. However, if you do bash-2.05b$ uname -a CYGWIN_NT-5.0 PC4265 1.3.15(0.63/3/2) 2002-11-07 13:57 i686 unknown bash-2.05b$ cd c:/tmp bash-2.05b$ pwd c:/tmp bash-2.05b$ /bin/pwd /cygdrive/c/tmp Cygwin/bash does not recognize c:/tmp as a windows path name. I am not sure, if it is supposed to do, but perhaps you can tell me. If you do however bash-2.05b$ cd 'c:\tmp' bash-2.05b$ pwd /cygdrive/c/tmp the pathname c:\tmp is recognized as windows pathname and implicitely converted.
