Today I downloaded the new setup-x86.exe from Cygwin.com and upgraded my Cygwin release. During the process, the installation stalled while running "_autorebase" (/etc/postinstall/autorebase.bat). I let the installer stay stalled at 68% complete for over an hour before I finally halted it.
I'm not sure of the past/present versions. According to setup.log, my last install was on 2013/04/25 and it says "Starting cygwin install, version 2.774". Today, after downloading setup-x86.exe, setup.log says on 2013/08/22 "Starting cygwin install, version 2.819" There were no errors in setup.log. It ends like this after I cancelled the install (notice the 1.5 hour delay): 2013/08/22 14:14:14 running: cmd.exe /c "C:\cygwin\etc\postinstall\autorebase.bat" 2013/08/22 15:56:27 note: Installation Complete 2013/08/22 15:56:27 Ending cygwin install There are some possible errors in setup.log.full: /etc/postinstall/000-cygwin-post-install.sh: line 199: cp: command not found /etc/postinstall/000-cygwin-post-install.sh: line 204: rm: command not found 2013/08/22 14:13:41 running: C:\cygwin\bin\bash.exe --norc --noprofile "/etc/postinstall/xorg-server.sh" 2013/08/22 14:13:41 running: C:\cygwin\bin\bash.exe --norc --noprofile "/etc/postinstall/fontconfig.sh" /etc/postinstall/fontconfig.sh: line 2: /usr/bin/mkdir: No such file or directory 2013/08/22 14:14:14 running: cmd.exe /c "C:\cygwin\etc\postinstall\autorebase.bat" 2013/08/22 15:56:27 note: Installation Complete 2013/08/22 15:56:27 Ending cygwin install Thanks for any help.
