I - turned off sshd - closed all cygwin processes - started e:\cygwin\bin\dash from the Run window - ran rebase and got this message:
$ /bin/rebaseall /usr/lib/perl5/5.14/i686-cygwin-threads-64int/CORE/cygperl5_14_2.dll: skipped because nonexistent. $ (I just updated yesterday) and I'm still getting this: Warning: Cannot convert string "vlines2" to type Pixmap Warning: Cannot convert string "vlines2" to type Pixmap 934 [main] xterm 2636 child_info_fork::abort: E:\cygwin\bin\cygXdmcp-6.dll: Loaded to different address: parent(0x250000) != child(0x2C0000) /home/mellman/opt/xterm-281/xterm: Error 29, errno 11: Resource temporarily unavailable Reason: spawn: fork() failed 8729 [main] xterm 1888 child_info_fork::abort: E:\cygwin\bin\cygXdmcp-6.dll: Loaded to different address: parent(0x250000) != child(0x2C0000) /home/mellman/opt/xterm-281/xterm: Error 29, errno 11: Resource temporarily unavailable Reason: spawn: fork() failed As an aside let me say that I've been hesitant to use rebaseall because it says that it rebases the whole system. After studying, searching, and a leap of faith, I presume now that what's meant is the whole *cygwin* system and that my expensively purchased programs won't be updated, improved, or otherwise hacked... right?
