That *might* indicate a Cygwin bug. The tcsh memory allocation is very sensitive to certain problems in Cygwin. Please try a recent Cygwin snapshot first: http://cygwin.com/snapshots/ If it still fails, please try to create a *minimal* testcase tcsh script which allows to reproduce the problem.
