Today I try to setup cygwin on a new server, it keeps failed with a "cyggcc_s-1.dll is missed" error in the last post-install phase.
I run the setup again, and can't find Devel/gcc4 and Base/libgcc1 package in the package list in "Select Packages" step. And I run the setup again in command line mode, it report the following "file size mismatch" errors: ------------------------------------- INVALID PACKAGE: file://U:\Development\Cygwin/http%3a%2f%2fmirrors.kernel.org%2fsourceware%2fcygwin%2f/release/gcc4/gcc4-core/gcc4-core-4.3.4-3.tar.bz2 - Size mismatch: Ini-file: 9858869 != On-disk: 9861133 INVALID PACKAGE: file://U:\Development\Cygwin/http%3a%2f%2fmirrors.kernel.org%2fsourceware%2fcygwin%2f/release/gcc4/gcc4-g++/gcc4-g++-4.3.4-3.tar.bz2 - Size mismatch: Ini-file: 5484189 != On-disk: 5483656 INVALID PACKAGE: file://U:\Development\Cygwin/http%3a%2f%2fmirrors.kernel.org%2fsourceware%2fcygwin%2f/release/gcc4/libffi4/libffi4-4.3.4-3.tar.bz2 - Size mismatch: Ini-file: 12883 != On-disk: 12832 INVALID PACKAGE: file://U:\Development\Cygwin/http%3a%2f%2fmirrors.kernel.org%2fsourceware%2fcygwin%2f/release/gcc4/libgcc1/libgcc1-4.3.4-3.tar.bz2 - Size mismatch: Ini-file: 22791 != On-disk: 22767 INVALID PACKAGE: file://U:\Development\Cygwin/http%3a%2f%2fmirrors.kernel.org%2fsourceware%2fcygwin%2f/release/gcc4/libgomp1/libgomp1-4.3.4-3.tar.bz2 - Size mismatch: Ini-file: 12187 != On-disk: 12167 INVALID PACKAGE: file://U:\Development\Cygwin/http%3a%2f%2fmirrors.kernel.org%2fsourceware%2fcygwin%2f/release/gcc4/libssp0/libssp0-4.3.4-3.tar.bz2 - Size mismatch: Ini-file: 4964 != On-disk: 4911 INVALID PACKAGE: file://U:\Development\Cygwin/http%3a%2f%2fmirrors.kernel.org%2fsourceware%2fcygwin%2f/release/gcc4/libstdc++6/libstdc++6-4.3.4-3.tar.bz2 - Size mismatch: Ini-file: 243116 != On-disk: 242723 INVALID PACKAGE: file://U:\Development\Cygwin/http%3a%2f%2fmirrors.kernel.org%2fsourceware%2fcygwin%2f/release/gcc4/libstdc++6-devel/libstdc++6-devel-4.3.4-3.tar.bz2 - Size mismatch: Ini-file: 2227194 != On-disk: 2234246 ............... ------------------------------------- Build date of the old one is 2009-12-11 (yyyy-mm-dd) Build date of the new one is 2010-08-15 (yyyy-mm-dd) I rename gcc4 directory to gcc4-old, reinstall gcc4 and libgcc1 package, it works ok finally. -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/The-un-notified-update-of-gcc4-4.3.4-3-cause-setup-failed%28build-date-2009-12-11-to-2010-08-15%2C-caused-file-size-mismatch%29-tp29600561p29600561.html Sent from the Cygwin list mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -- Problem reports: http://cygwin.com/problems.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple
