Version 3.0.7-1 of rsync has been uploaded. rsync is a file transfer program. rsync uses the 'rsync algorithm' which provides a very fast method for bringing remote files into sync. It does this by sending just the differences in the files across the link, without requiring that both sets of files are present at one of the ends of the link beforehand.
This release include (experimental) support for xattr which should work correctly on SMB shares and NTFS drives. If you're not sure what version do you have you can use the following command to both check version number and integrity of the install: % cygcheck -c rsync If you have questions or comments, please send them to the Cygwin mailing list at: cygwin@cygwin.com . *** CYGWIN-ANNOUNCE UNSUBSCRIBE INFO *** If you want to unsubscribe from the cygwin-announce mailing list, look at the "List-Unsubscribe: " tag in the email header of this message.
