There are three players here: bash, bin/run.sh and /usr/local/x-daemon.sh Perhaps bin/run.sh tries to start /usr/local/x-daemon.sh and that doesn't exist. Run your script with /bin/bash -x bin/run.sh It will print out everything it does.
