pinentry is a collection of simple PIN or passphrase entry dialogs which utilize the Assuan protocol as described by the aegypten project; see http://www.gnupg.org/aegypten/ for details.
pinentry provides implementations for different windowing toolkits: curses (non-GUI terminal mode), GTK+ 1.2, GTK+ 2.x, Qt3, Qt4. At present, cygwin provides only the curses, gtk2, qt4, and native w32 versions.
