been struggling with for a while with rsync hanging randomly on
different files.
Indeed! :-/
For example I use:
rsync -avz --progress --delete --exclude=2008 --exclude=mactex*
--exclude=Mac* tug.org::texlive/tlnet/ /tmp/tl2009_repo
Just a curiosity...
'ps' shows TWO 'rsync' processes:
$ ps
PID PPID PGID WINPID TTY UID STIME COMMAND
1668 684 1668 2848 2 1006 21:42:37 /usr/bin/bash
3788 2948 3788 2784 0 1006 22:04:59 /usr/bin/rsync
2920 3788 3788 2920 0 1006 22:05:00 /usr/bin/rsync
2320 1668 2320 2212 2 1006 22:05:19 /usr/bin/ps
Why?
Any thoughts? Most of the information online(list archives) about this
are back from 2005/2006.. Did people stop using rsync on cygwin due to
these problems, or is there a fix that I'm not aware of?
CTRL-C. and restart :-(
Cheers,
Angelo.
