Yes, the 1.5 ln(1) had some .exe magic, because cygwin1.dll 1.5 did not always handle symlinks gracefully if the .exe was not present. > ln(1) from the Cygwin 1.7 > coreutils does also not add a .exe suffix. Probably because cygwin 1.7 handles .exe better.
