Often I encounter Cygwin processes that refuse to exit. They leave a <defunct process> entry in the process table (as seen with ps), and attempting to "End Process" the process from Windows Task Manager I get "Unable to Terminate Process/The operation could not be completed.Access denied." The process is running as me and has not changed its security context. Does anyone know what causes this?
