Config is the following : client-wks is Win2000 with cygwin on it Servers are Linux Mandrake 8.1 When I SSH to the server : no problemo but when I try to "vi", I got this : <snip> Administrator@CALVIN ~ $ ssh -l root 192.168.1.254 [EMAIL PROTECTED]'s password: Last login: Tue Feb 26 03:19:58 2002 from 192.168.1.101 root@ruther root]# vi Terminal entry not found in terminfo 'cygwin' not known. Available builtin terminals are: builtin_riscos builtin_amiga builtin_beos-ansi builtin_ansi builtin_pcansi builtin_win32 builtin_vt320 builtin_vt52 builtin_xterm builtin_iris-ansi builtin_debug builtin_dumb Defaulting to 'ansi' </snip>
How can I change the setting to suite the needs of the linux ? [root@ruther root]# mc Unknown terminal: cygwin Check the TERM environment variable. Also make sure that the terminal is defined in the terminfo database. Alternatively, set the TERMCAP environment variable to the desired termcap entry. [root@ruther root]# </snip> Would someone have an idea ?
