GNU Unifont is a Unicode font collection with glyphs for all
visible Unicode Basic Multilingual Plane (the first 64K)
character code points and many more, with supporting utilities
to view, define, modify, and convert fonts.

NOTE: Releases from 15.1 do not include Truetype format, only Opentype
format Unifont fonts, as previously announced.
As these fonts are bitmap glyphs rendered into modern font formats,
both formats should render the same glyphs.
All modern systems support both Opentype and Truetype format fonts,
so there should be few or no issues if releases provide only Opentype
format Unifont, which are less than half the file size of the Truetype
format.
A known issue with TrueType is Pango combining character rendering not
being fixed as the Pango maintainers want to support only OpenType.
If anyone encounters issues using the Opentype format Unifont,
please let us know so we can address any issues.

- Redrew some Arabic Presentation Forms:

U+FEB5, and U+FEB6.
- Modified the top serifs of two Latin fullwidth letters,
U+FF44 and U+FF4B.
- font/plane00/wqy.hex:
- Improved è¤ (U+891D) and è (U+809E).
- Updated to reflect current Unicode rendering:
ã³½ (U+3CFD), 㸿 (U+3E3F), ä® (U+446E), ä³ (U+44B3), ä (U+4548),
and ä©¶ (U+4A76).
- Updated as per GB18030-2022 change: å (U+5795).
- Modified to comply with the GB18030-2022 standard pertaining to
character composition:
- å§ (U+59C9): This character is a phono-semantic character.
Therefore, the right side should be "å¸" (U+5E02) instead
of "å·¿" (U+5DFF).
- 濲 (U+6FF2): This character is a variant of "ç" (U+7014),
and the "ç©" (U+7A40) on the right side of "ç" (U+7014) is
a phono-semantic character, and its "semantic" part is "禾"
(U+79BE), not "æ¨" (U+6728).
- è¥ (U+81A5): This character is a Cantonese character for "egg".
Not yet (æª) Become (æ) Meat (è) â Egg, so the upper left
corner should be "æª" (U+672A), not "æ«" (U+672B).
- font/plane01/plane01.hex:
- Added new glyphs in Egyptian Hieroglyph Format Controls (U+13430..U+1345F).
- Modified U+1D16D, U+01D17C, U+01D17D, U+01D17E, U+01D17F,
U+01D180, U+01D182, U+01D1AB, and U+01D1AD.
- Modified some Musical Symbols to be one cell wide where they were
two cells wide, but with the right cell blank:
U+01D1DE, U+01D1DF, U+01D1E0, U+01D1E2, U+01D1E3, U+01D1E4,
U+01D1E5, U+01D1E6, U+01D1E7, and U+01D1E8.
- font/plane01/plane01-noscript.hex:
- Removed range U+13440..U+1345F, which has been added to
Egyptian Hieroglyph Format Controls.
- font/plane01/unassigned-ranges.txt:
- Changed Egyptian Hieroglyph Format Controls unassigned
range to U+013456..U+01345F.
- font/plane02/zh-plane02.hex:
- Modified U+25ED7 from 16 columns wide to 15 columns.
- Contributed U+29B00..U+29CFF.
- Corrected left-hand side of U+2EE57.
- font/plane03/jp-plane03.hex:
- Much-improved glyph for taito (U+3106C).
