Re the rc.d script, overall it looks good, however since it's now
running as an unprivileged user it needs REQUIRE: LOGIN instead of
DAEMON. You should also consider adding KEYWORD: shutdown since it
starts a persistent service.
The bit at the end of the script is puzzling to me. It seems like the
logic there would be better included in your _prestart method. Is there
some reason that was not done?
