That's what I meant when replied "Those not human can set themselves
up in /etc/periodic.conf".  To be specific, quoting periodic.conf(5),

         daily_status_disks_df_flags
             (str) Set to the arguments for the df(1) utility when
             daily_status_disks_enable is set to ``YES''.

To put it in a plain text: this was always configureable, before and
after the commit that changed the default to -h.
