the actual UUID isn't changing, but the name that looks like 
dm-uuid-CRYPT-LUKS2-344580c161864ba59712bd84df3e86ba-dmcrypt0 does indeed 
change to something like dm-uuid-CRYPT-PLAIN-... but the underlying device is 
still LUKS.  I suspect a device mapper bug or similar but am not sure where 
that would be.
