This patch was accepted in offical repo of nvi2: https://github.com/lichray/nvi2/commit/e7054267a371d5caa81edb218f5c8388e11b5197 and also in OpenBSD: https://cvsweb.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb/src/usr.bin/vi/common/search.c.diff?r1=1.14&r2=1.15&f=h Any chance of accept this patch?
