hello. The hdaudio driver I'm using is a locally patched version to work around an issue where the driver doesn't configure the headphone jack correctly. Specifically, it seems the default configuration configures the jack for use with a microphone, rather than with just a headset, which is how I use it. The linux driver seems to have some knobs which permit selecting the various operating modes for the jack. Because I needed something working quickly, I reworked the driver to disable the headphone jack and internal speaker. It has been my intention to go back and fix it so we have the knobs as well, but that hasn't happened yet. So, if you know how to add the appropriate controls, I'm very interested.
