Friends,
It seems like we might be heading into doing a release with a SERIOUS upload
speed regression. This seems very unfortunate.
Can we get a really quick fix done for this? Perhaps just revert the offending
commit short-term and then work on a more proper fix for *next* release?
The release is doing out on December 9. We don't want to rock the boat too
close to that moment...
