I think you took the wrong way towards making that happen. I would recommend
you use "configure --disable-crypto-auth" or perhaps introduce a new configure
option for disabling only ntlm.

curl assumes a mostly default build of OpenbSSL and if you go beyond that, it
is up you. There are millions of possible OpenSSL build combinations, we
simply cannot make sure curl works with all of those.
