To "grease" is a method you can use when selecting or providing a list of available options in basically any protocol. You seem to be talking about some specific TLS greasing here?
If so, what exactly do you expect curl would do and how, when you say it "does not seem to work"? I'm not aware of any generic way to enable this in TLS-using clients or libraries and curl doesn't have any such generic switch anywhere.
I would imagine that some TLS implementations can be built with greasing enabled and dealt with automatically, as it is really an interop issue on TLS level and not really a matter for the higher level curl operations.
