Thanks for the patch. It looks good except for this little nit:

What's the motivation to force it to use /usr/local as default place to

I did that on purpose because you do not put non-default libraries in /usr/lib but in /usr/local/lib. /usr/lib is usually for those packages served by the system package manager. That's why is configure installs by default to /usr/local.

Since fbopenssl is not default, I decided to preset to /usr/local.
