All those thumbnails are scaled down. I suppose the ones originating from Vimeo 
have all the same size (and aspect ratio), whereas the ones uploaded to your 
website have different sizes/aspect ratios (and different from the ones 
generated by Vimeo).

for example,
http://b.vimeocdn.com/ts/457/533/457533014_295.jpg
has natural size of 295px x 166px

http://cityview.springfieldmo.gov/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/457932500_295-228x160.jpg
has a natural size of 228px by 160px

When scaled down, this results in different heights (as the height is set to 
auto in the stylesheet).
