I have a page which Safari and Firefox (Mac and Win FF) display

3 BIG things I see: mangles my header type at the top...instead of

sits at the bottom of that bar, and pushes the other type down.
Please take a look at my reworked code in IE6. The first time
tested and I see that all is well.

Hi, Alan. In the page you link me to above, it fixes IE 6 problem
with my head line at the top, but then it "breaks" the center column,
which it shows ending mid-page.
I need to get this page to be a cross-browser-stable page and I just
don't see the path. Sorry...I get one thing nailed down, then the
rest of it goes weird.
I respect and admire those here who know all the tricks..is there a
way that any of you can suggest how I can end up with a page similar
or close to the design I have and which behaves it self in all the
browsers?
that's my goal. is it achievable and can you share with me how I can
get there?
thank you!
John
