Nevermind. I must have somehow triggered the Safari "Show Google Fonts" extension while trying (unsuccessfully) to navigate that site with the keyboard...

A friend sent me a link to her most recent website design. Looking at it
in Safari, I see a type-face that seems to be Josefin Sans, but can't
make out where it's coming from. Furthermore, after viewing the page in
Safari, all open tabs and subsequent pages display in this same font!

I'm seeing Myriad Pro via @font-face in Chrome...
