To Fantasai and all others who have responded to my question,

I thought of this, but wondered about there being too much spacing around the portrait images with the static blue background image (which would be wider in order to accommodate the landscape images). The client suggested perhaps including text (a quote or additional information) to the right of portrait images to fill in some of the space. That's an option, but all along I figured there was something I might be missing due to my limited CSS experience and expertise. > > CSS3 would get you the rounded corners and drop-shadow easily; you'll > need > to look up some more sophisticated tricks to get those to work without > it... > but I guess I'm missing where you're stuck here. > Thank you so much for your suggestions (didn't want to include too much of the previous responses herein)! I have received some wonderful information and some great links to check out. I am going out of town for a couple of days, but will fully investigate when I return. One more question... Both HTML5 and CSS3 have been mentioned and suggested. I don't know much about either but would be happy to research and learn. However, I am concerned about the always present and dreaded issues with IE6 (and sometimes IE7). Would the rounded corners, drop-shadows and i-frame work in those old browsers? I feel like I can spend half of my design time on IE6 alone! Many thanks again! If I run into additional problems, I will post again. As I mentioned in my original post, I am still learning... I've only been at CSS for around a year and not full-time at that. I am grateful for resources such as this one.
