Hi David, That is very discouraging. I setout to design my own modest webpage not just adapt an existing layout. Can anyone explain in layman terms what limitations of IE6 I have crossed so that I can take it into account when I rethink my design. What you seem to say is that CSS is really limited in what it can achieve cross browsers, so stick to simple well established layouts. Tony

It works cross-browser. <http://www.gunlaug.no/tos/moa_8b.html> Put the menu in the right column, and the image of the gentlepeople in the left column. I really can't help with the menu-- it's impossible to hold the fly-out in any browser. A simple menu alternative that would save a lot of grief and frustration might be to use a nested list instead-- no javascript need for IE/6. <http://css.maxdesign.com.au/listamatic2/vertical02.htm> -- A thin red line and a salmon-color ampersand forthcoming. http://chelseacreekstudio.com/ ______________________________________________________________________ css-discuss [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.css-discuss.org/mailman/listinfo/css-d List wiki/FAQ -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ List policies -- http://css-discuss.org/policies.html Supported by evolt.org -- http://www.evolt.org/help_support_evolt/ ______________________________________________________________________ css-discuss [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.css-discuss.org/mailman/listinfo/css-d List wiki/FAQ -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ List policies -- http://css-discuss.org/policies.html Supported by evolt.org -- http://www.evolt.org/help_support_evolt/
