Hi everyone ! I'm going into a lot of trouble as I'm trying to make a
website that must look the same in IE/Firefox/Safari.
Could you please have a look to http://mediaklan.homelinux.com/work/web
and give me some pieces of advice and knowledge ?
I will be very pleased ;).
Now you can go and see screenshots if you want here (taken from
Browsershots) in order to understand the problems I met :
http://designed2.free.fr/screenshots/browsershots/
And here's a resume :
- In Safari, all mac versions, the main part at center showing my images
goes down
under the left thumbs menu (a float element). And the main logo in
top-left corner is showing
a background color that should not be seen...
- In IE 5.5, navigation words ("precedente" "[x sur x]" "suivante") came
one under the others
(they normally went aligned), then the main image part goes down.
- In IE 6.0, everything seems almost fine, except from the main part
that is slightly shifted (margin/padding box problem ?)
- In IE 7.0, everything seems almost fine but the navigation words above
the main image part are missing.
- Firefox, all versions from mac to PC and Linux, is doing very well
(damn how much I love this browser !)
You can access xhtml (in text format) and CSS files here :
http://mediaklan.homelinux.com/_css/template.txt (elements marked like
<WINDOW_TITLE> are normal, it's for the php photo script)
http://mediaklan.homelinux.com/_css/galerie.css
Thank you very much in advance, and a happy new year from France !
