Hey, it's not /our/ fault!
If I was going to dip into supported CSS3 I could do something like this...
li {list-style-image: url(red1.gif)}
li+li {list-style-image: url(red2.gif)}
li+li+li {list-style-image: url(red3.gif)}
Etc., Etc.
But as ever I'm dealing with an IE user base. I'll have to see about
forcing my Kupu to disable text nodes nested directly into lis and
automatically create a span inside each one. Nasty business though.
