Hi Nick,
If you'll ammend one of the selectors in your lt IE 7 Conditional comment/style
sheet, IE5 should come around.
change -
#menu ul li a {height: 1%;)
to -
#menu ul li a,
#menu,
div#menu li,
div#menu li:hover {height: 1%;}
(yeah, I added several elements there)
Anyway, it worked for me and didn't seem to bother IE6 or IE5.5.
