Hi Leonieke,
And I should also delete the
td#main-menu {background-repeat: no-repeat;}
then if the page is visited in "not Internet Explorer", and if the
font-size is enlarged by the visitor, the background of the menu is
growing with the menu text.

PS:
The fixed font {font-size: 11pt !important;} for the body doesn't work
in not-IE.
I should advise to give a relative font-size: especially for IE-visitors
with a small resolution (800x600; then they can shrink the font size)
and for IE-visitors with a big screen size (1280x1024px or more; then
they can enlarge the pretty small letters at that resolution).
