I don't use divs for all the tables that I have in my site. For data that is 
actually tabular, I use a javascript table library. I replaced all the tables 
which I was using for positioning with div tags.

Isn't that rather dramatic. I don't mind putting in the effort for a redesign 
if that will improve usability. In any case thanks for the feedback and I would 
appreciate it if you could give me some usability feedback as well.
