Hello/Hallo Albert,
I don't know what exactly is the cause for IE to display the
nothing-bug. [1]
But a simple {height: 1%;} in the right place can help. :-)
Compare:

    * the downloaded result of server side searching: original page

<http://home.tiscali.nl/developerscorner/css-discuss/test-hria-original.htm>.
    * new test page

<http://home.tiscali.nl/developerscorner/css-discuss/test-hria-IE-adapted.htm>.

Succes!
