Sensational! That fixed it just fine, although I don't quite understand why
it makes such a difference. Is this a part of the whole hasLayout thing?

One other small problem I just noticed, though... the blue border that
should be appearing in the header isn't showing up in IE. So it's a bucket
rather than a box, which isn't the idea. Any idea why IE is not showing the
background on that element? I can't seem to make it come back.
