Hi,

When I define a block element that exceeds the window width, IE and FF seem
to interpret its width differently.

See for example http://www50.brinkster.com/splintor/widthtest.html, where I
define <pre> object with long lines, and sets it background color and
border. It seems the Firefox thinks the object width is only the window
width, and this is where it paints the background color and the border.

1. Who is right on this - FF or IE? It seems like a bug in Firefox, but
I couldn't find a bug for this, and I might be missing something.
2. Is there a way to tell FF that the <pre> tag width should be the
entire content, and not just the windows boundaries?

Note that this only applies to width, and I have no problem with height - it
always extends to the end of the element, and not the window height.

Regards,

Shmulik
