In CSS as a background image. This is off-topic for the CSS list. Is this image an indicator of expandable navigation or just eye candy? If it is the latter it should only get an empty alt attribute (there is no alt tag!), else it should tell what it does "expand item". In other terms, what does the image convey? Would listening to "ampersand g t semi-colon" tell you anything?
