Yah, and it tells me to download Netscape 7, which is an older rebadging
of an older and buggier version of Mozilla than the version that I'm
using on my Linux laptop.

And all I see in the HTML that shows up when I click Cancel is ... HTML
output from MS PowerPoint 2003, complete with MS Office schema and XML?

Sorry, those kind of barriers certainly mean I wouldn't be visiting the
site twice.

Clear out the proprietary MS Office XML junk and you might get rid of
whatever problem you're having with Netscape.
