Is there any way to salvage this at the smaller screen size? Validates, looks as it should on Mac browsers, and from what I can see via BrowserCam, on the Windows browsers...but disarray strikes at 640!

Would welcome any comments/suggestions.

What do you mean? At ~640px, the columns start to drop in IE/Win, and cause a horizontal scrollbar in Fx+Op.

Unrelated to this, in IE6/Win, the page does show a heavy horizontal jumping of the left column when rezising the window.

#innerbody { ... position:relative; }

should fix it.
