Hi,
I'm working on a site that requires two horizontal
menus to be displayed at the top of every page. An
example of the kind of menu can be found here:
http://www.img.forces.gc.ca/adm_im/index_e.htm
I'm trying to set it up as a couple lists, with their
list items displayed as inline to get them horizontal.
However, width cannot be applied to inline
non-replaced elements. That means that the menu items
will be different widths, and I would like each top
menu item to line up with the bottom menu item. The
layout also has to be liquid, so fiddling with padding
is a no-go. And on top of that, the menus need to line
up as the text is scaled.
Anyone know a way I can fudge the width of these menu
items, or am I stuck using a table?
Regards,
Chris
