Thanks to all who responded to my request for help. Especially Georg and Ingo your well explained answers were most appreciated. I took the easy way to correct the problem. Given that I had a good reference page (the Home page), I simply cut and pasted everything above the header section to the "jumping" pages. All is now very good.
I did want to advise everyone of a great new application for saving you CSS URL references. It is called FURL. Please check it out (google it). An excellent way to save your references.
