Hey Yorick,

I have a .steam directory but there's no file or folder named Steam in that - just those two mentioned files.
But -nobreakpad is doing the job for now, so no worries.
Thanks for your advice anyway, appreciate it!

Regards
Kevin

PS: I have no idea how my last response (which was only sent to the list) triggered those two i3D tickets...

Hey Kevin,

The .steam directory is also not in the home directory of the user which runs the gameserver? This worked for me, strange. Well... Maybe IT Will work for others. Use the -nobreakpad as alternative.

Good Luck!

Yorick

    Hey,

had the same issue, luckily the -nobreakpad workaround solved it
    (thanks for the hint!).
Anyway, no luck on removing .steam ~/Steam since that file doesn't
    exist (the folder only contains
    a registry.vdf and a symlink to ./steam/linux32 named sdk32).

So I'll stick to the -nobreakpad as long as there's no other fix
    to it, I guess.

    Best Regards

    Kevin

    Hi,

We had the same issues with one server. Executie the next command
    to solve IT:

    rm -rf ~/.steam ~/Steam

    This was working for me.

Thanks for the replies everyone. The server was being
started with the same script I've always used, same user,
etc. It looks like a new server.so file was delivered on May
12 and that's when the crashing started. The -nobreakpad
workaround seems to fix the problem, although I'm still
curious as to why this is suddenly happening.

        Thanks!

Have you tried adding the -nobreakpad workaround yet?

            Hey,

maybe start up your SteamCMD and validate your
Serverfiles, maybe the file that cant be opened, isnt
there to be found. Second could be permissions, maybe
you are starting the server woth the wrong user?

I have been running a CS:GO server on Debian 8

within the last few days, it has started crashing on
